A two-bedroom apartment in Dubai Marina, replanned around the view: the closed kitchen opened to the living room, the master suite rebuilt with its own dressing area, and every surface reworked in warm oak, travertine and soft white.

The navy accent from the design stayed, now set against fluted oak panels and alabaster light.

The brief

The owners wanted the apartment to feel open and calm, with the marina view visible from the kitchen, a proper place to cook and eat together, and a master bedroom that works like a small suite.

They asked for a clean, minimal look that still feels warm, with storage built in everywhere so nothing stands loose.

The challenge

The original plan had a closed kitchen and laundry cut off from the living room, a separate dressing room between the master bath and bedroom, and narrow corridors. Moving the kitchen meant rerouting plumbing and ventilation inside a tower with strict building rules.

Our approach

We demolished the kitchen walls and built an open kitchen with an island and a breakfast table facing the living room, framed by a navy shelving column. The dressing room was merged into the master suite behind a white lattice partition with full-height wardrobes.

Both bathrooms were rebuilt, the master bath with a freestanding tub. Built-in storage now runs through the foyer and corridor, and the second bedroom got a floating study desk.
