A sea-facing apartment on the Golden Mile of Palm Jumeirah, written in cognac, cream and bronze. Light comes in off the water and settles into bouclé, shearling and hand-knotted wool; at night the onyx wall in the study takes over and the whole home glows like amber held up to a lamp.
It is a home made for slow evenings: a dining table under faceted brass, a daybed by the window, a master bedroom where the bed seems to float above the floor and the window seat looks straight out to the Arabian Gulf.
The brief
The owners wanted an apartment on the Palm that feels collected rather than decorated: warm, tactile and calm, with the sea as the main view and art as the second.
It had to host dinners for ten, give one of them a real place to work, and keep two guest bedrooms ready for family arriving for weeks at a time.

The challenge
Golden Mile apartments get hard, reflected light off the water for most of the day, and a typical developer layout gives a long corridor and a living room that looks the same at noon and at midnight. We needed warmth without heaviness, privacy for the study, and an interior that changes character after dark.

Our approach
We softened the light with texture instead of curtains: cognac bouclé, shearling, sculpted wool rugs and fluted glass take the glare and turn it gold. The living room faces the sea with a low modular sofa beneath a relief artwork; the dining table sits under hammered brass and glass pendants, with the corridor turned into a small gallery.
The study is built around a backlit onyx wall with bronze shelving, a red jacquard chair and a daybed by the window, so it reads as a lounge by night. The master suite has a floating bed, herringbone wool and a deep window seat; the guest rooms carry the same palette with a radial rug in one and a music corner with open shelving in the other.

The result
A Palm Jumeirah apartment that is bright and calm by day and glows by night: a home for long dinners, quiet work and the view, finished in materials you want to touch.
